'Til death do us part...

Friends of ours married tonight. Yes, on Halloween.

Downtown catered the reception in their space at the Hawaii State Art Museum, and the food was amazing. Appropriate for the evening, Pastry Chef Tracy shaped the rich and moist chocolate Guinness cake into a morbid graveyard. How often do you see wedding cakes adorned with tombstones?

Clearly, we've not been attending the right kinds of weddings before now.

what a fun wedding reception! I've been hearing about that Guinness cake for some time now, I think I'm gonna have to make it soon.

Wow, you do evil very well.

Kat, I'm going to try to talk Tracy out of the recipe, although I may not be able to share. It was tasty.

Topher, I was shooting for undead zombie more than evil :) You can't really tell from the photo, but my clothes were bloody and pretty trashed. A little face paint, and then dip my chin to get sunken eyes for the photo... voila! I even scare myself a little.
