Chickenfeet
Chowing chicken feet at Legend Seafood, Chinatown

Living in Hawaii, it's easy to take for granted the degree to which various ethnic cuisines have become a part of daily life. Japanese, Chinese, Filipino and American flavors live side-by-side, often on the same plate. Where else can you can pick up musubi at 7-11 and saimin at McDonald's? Both musubi and saimin, by the way, are on the short list of foods my four year old will eat even when he's turning his nose at everything else.

Now we can add chicken feet to that list.

That's awesome. :)

What a great eater! Even my hubby is lukewarm about chicken feet. I wonder when Veronica will be ready.

Topher, thanks man.

Gia, that's why you need to sneak little Veronica off on field trips to explore the more varied side of food. Demetrio has an amazing culinary heritage, but there's also more out there to explore...
