Grand Marnier Torte

Junko whipped up this Frozen Grand Marnier Torte with Dark Chocolate Crust and Spcied Cranberries as the perfect end to our Christmas meal. She stayed faithful to the recipe and the result was truly beautiful.

When we make this torte again, we'll cook all the cranberries together. The instructions called for boiling half the cranberries then adding the other half fresh. That resulted in a few too many tart explosions in the middle of an otherwise impressive and festive dessert.

Mele Kalikimaka, everyone!

You know, catching up on everyone's holiday posts makes me feel as if it's Xmas all over again! That festive dessert looks killer! Speaking of which, although there were so many new ideas that I had wanted to introduce at the bakery, the only one that I could manage was your recipe for the okinawan sweet potato-haupia pie. There simply wasn't time for anything else. Needless to say, it was ONE BEEG HIT! That pie was the bomb from the comments I've received.

We be going to Hanalei today for some scenery. I certainly agree, it is the closest place to heaven on earth. :-)

Rowena, I've heard you mention this bakery a couple times now. Where is it? Is it a family operation? I think that's cool that the pie is working for you.
