1000 Recipes

I signed up for an interesting meme called "1000 Recipes," instigated by Santos at the scent of green bananas. Book one came from her (Guam) to me, and after me will head to Reid at 'Ono Kine Grindz, also here in Honolulu, before continuing it's journey by heading down to spiceblog in Australia. Check out the complete mailing list for this book.

These are images of my contribution:

That's *really* cool. Will it get published at some point?

Topher, the idea is that these books could eventually be published as a collection. The content guidelines specified that no previously copyrighted material should be included.

Will they eer be published, after circling the globe for months and months? It'd be cool, but it doesn't matter much to me. In this case, the enjoyment comes from the road more than the destination.

at the current rate they may just published before the eventual heat death of the universe.

Anthony, so true! I accept blame for my role in any delays. Once I learned that Reid, the next person in line, was going to be out of town for a month, I stopped rushing. It would have been better if I could have gotten the book to him before he left... my apologies.

I signed up for the 1000 recipes project also. I think it going to be an amazing collection when it's done. I hope all the participants get copies.

What book are you in? I am in book 17. Still waiting to get it and to think of what recipes to add.

Elizabeth- Yup, that's my own writing. My hand got tired partway through b/c I so rarely write more than a few sentences at a time in long hand. My lovely wife provided inspiration and editorial advice.

Barbara- I was the second in book #1, more for convenience of scheduling that book than anything else. I see you're #2 in your book as well, which means you shouldn't have long to wait. Good luck and have fun! Mahalo for stopping by.
